Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are the sessions held?

In my home studio in North West London

Do I need to bring anything for my photo session?

For adult’s coming for headshots, yoga or maternity portraits, bring a couple of outfits, layers or accessories to get a range of different images to choose from. For children and family portraits, bring a couple of outfit changes for each person and any momentos, like a special teddy or blankie, that you might like in the images. I’m happy to share ideas and see what you’ll be bringing in the days leading up to your session.

How long does a session take?

For headshots, the session can take between 30mins to and hour. For any other session, I like to give between an hour to up to two hours.

When is the best time to have a photo session?

For maternity : between 28 – 34 weeks pregnant
Newborn: under 6 weeks old
If you’d like the baby sitting in the images: around 6 – 10 months
For first birthday pictures: 11 – 12 months
For headshots, yoga portraits or family portraits: Anytime!

What days are available?

Sessions are available Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The time of the session is discussed to fit everyone.

Why are you called The Tortoise Haus?

I get this question A LOT. I have two tortoises, who I’ve had since they were 6months old (now in their 20s), and like any pet, are very much part of my day-to-day life, so I wanted to include them in my branding. And house is spelt the German way because my mother is German, and a huge inspiration for my creativity. I felt it was only right that she, and half of me, were represented.

Please feel free to message me with any questions you might have regarding your photography session.
